CONTEXT & MISSION:

We are looking for a highly motivated Demand Planner Travel Retail Europe & Americas to join our Operations team in Geneva. In this role, you will lead the forecasting processes for the brands L’Occitane en Provence, Erborian and Sol de Janeiro.
Based in Plan-les-Ouates (near Geneva) and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager Travel Retail, you will interact with our business travel retail teams (marketing, sales, finance), brand’s operations teams, central operations & master data teams and customer service team.

 
 
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Demand Planner, use a collaborative and consensus approach to drive the S&OP process with Sales, Marketing and Finance, to ensure that current and accurate information is taken into account for demand forecast, for all the brands in scope.


Drive the S&OP Cycle for your Brands:

  • Provide and maintain accurate sales forecast throughout the year for all brands
  • Review historical sales trends, build analysis and present clear results to teams. Provide regular input to marketing & sales plan to drive impactful business decisions
  • Perform analysis to ensure coherence between forecasts and budget, and vs. LY by brand. Partner with Finance to reconcile budget
  • Create a close partnership with business teams and be up to date with business trends, in order to perform accurate sell-out analysis and adjust sell-in forecast accordingly
  • Help develop and share best practices on demand planning and S&OP, optimize the use of reporting tools
  • Ensure clear reporting of KPIs : Forecast accuracy, Bias, E&O (excess and obsolete), Service level, Carbon Emissions. Proactively identify alerts and action plans
  • Prepare and present the monthly S&OP for your brands to the Travel Retail Leadership Team. Bring your Supply expertise, backed by KPIs and strong analytical, to find a consensus with Marketing, Sales & Finance


Supervise new product launches orders

  • Bring expertise to build the sales forecasts for the launch note along with Marketing, for single products and kits
  • Follow up with business teams on post launch performance, make necessary adjustments and identify key learnings for following launches
  • Follow up closely on E&O levels with Marketing and Commercial teams by providing accurate data


Manage Product Life Cycle & Assortments

  • Working closely with Master Data & Planning Team, manage the SD sales status of the different products for the Business Unit
  • Participate in the creation of the assortment file twice per year with Marketing to define which products will be sold to our clients. Provide all product specifications information on the products needed by the Sales Teams (Dimensions, weight, palletization, delivery unit, segment, line, etc...)
  • Monitor and adapt Phase In – Phase Outs, based on availability of products, stock exhaustion, marketing request of On Counter Dates 


Projects

  • Participate and lead for your Brands the implementation of the new Demand Planning tool : Anaplan
  • Work on data transfer from current system to Anaplan, analyze historical figures
  • Test & learn the new tool, choose the best forecasts models for your products
  • Help the Business unit in project implementation as Demand Planning Key User
 

 

 

HOW YOU CAN FIT:

  • +3 years experience in a similar role in the wholesale industry, ideally in Travel Retail
  • Fluent in English & French
  • Proficiency with MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with an ERP (SAP is a plus)
  • Experience with a Demand Planning Tool (Anaplan is a plus) & with Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau...)
  • Strong analytical and data reporting skills
  • Strong business orientation with ability to manage exposure
  • Problem solving mindset with very good influencing skills
  • Strong communication & relationship skills
  • Good project management abilities
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, appetite for change
  • Good attention to details
